James Baum debut album coming soon~!

It's a long time coming for James Baum (known to friends as Jimbo). Since his hit single "Skirts" and "Letter in a Song" there was not much known about this bright talent. Having already won MACP award as a lyricist in 2004 for the most played English song of the year and the Hitz.Fm best urban award in 2005, 2006 and this year has been really quiet. I guess now we know why...

Formed his own label Red Room Studio and currently finalizing inlays for his EP he is indeed a busy man in silence. To those who knows him you will certainly know that music means a whole lot to him and indeed is his life. His past collaborations include "The Feature -Liang", "Peejay Peejay - Doul", "Ku ingin, Need a break, Seketika - Dayang Nurfaizah", "Weekender - Reefa" and many more.

So it's a good guess that his sounds will bring a new envelope to the local music scene and this time with his own name on top instead of credits of behind the scenes work. Well done and good luck James~!

When it comes to electronica we don't seem to have much leads on local gigs. Well of course the biggest DJs have graced their vinyls on Malaysian soil such as Oakenfold, Carl Cox, and the most recent Benny Banassi. Still somehow we thirst for more and more. Events are far and wide as far as generally we could tell and a local source seems to be just the fix we need.

Foundation KL is a collaborative point for all to share and experience the music. The latest updates on events and news are always posted about the scene and it's very close to ground level. All the insights are simply personal...which is hard to come by. The contributors themselves are DJs or passionate people about the subject. I suggest to go check it out.

MR. C. Loco ex Poetic Ammo has come a long way. Since his Ammo days he seems to be doing something different with good mix of English and Malay raps. Since 2004 he has been working on his solo project to define him self away from the sounds of Poetic Ammo and come up with a really good mixture of beats and spits that still listeners and fans can recognize as simply Loco. He has Mr. Tech by his side in almost all of his songs so far. Looks like a formidable duo as far as catchy songs go. Still we have not heard when exactly his album is coming out. But for 2 songs of his to be featured in Afdlin Shauki's Sumolah is really a feat that no one in the country has achieved.
